Idalias Hair Salon in collaboration with I Beauty Bar Makes a difference in Brooklyn NY

Brooklyn, NY May 24, 2004 -- Guyanese born Darlene Dorsett came to the United States in 1980. Darlene and her siblings settled in Brooklyn, NY where she would eventually join forces in business with one of them. Ms Dorsett attended Sarah J Hale High School currently called Brooklyn School of Arts, where she became a licensed cosmetologist. After gaing experience in salons in and around Manhattan and Brooklyn the idea of Idalias Hair salon was born and it became a reality on march 26, 1996.

After many years of providing excellent hair services with her experienced staff she incorporated the skills of her sister Channel Dorsett the owner of I Beauty Bar Boutique which is currently located at the lower level of Idalias. It is here that clients can get tips on face, skin, makeup and even dress and accessories. Idalias has become a house hold name for many with its convenient location at 198 Flatbush Avenue in the Park Slope area of downtown Brooklyn.

The sisters are always seeking new and innovative ways to improve on their skills as entrepreneurs. darlene and Channel also gives back to the society that ha helped shape their lives. The sisters main focus is to boost the morale of less fortunate women by enhancing their natural beauty. Arbor Inn, an arm of Brooklyn Community Housing Services Inc is to be the first recipients of the sisters hospitality. Idalias and I Beauty bar will do a makeover for some of the residents on June 16, 2004; the ladies would be given full services. Darlene and Channel just wants to make these women feel like a Queen even for one day. Join me as I salute Idalias hair Salon and I Beauty Bar along with their staff.
